The Gun Docklands

The Gun is located on the banks of the River Thames in the heart of the Docklands.

A Grade II listed early 19th century building, steeped in history, The Gun takes its name from the cannon, fired to celebrate the opening of the West India Import Docks in 1802 and was allegedly home to Lord Nelson’s secret assignations with his lover Lady Emma Hamilton.
Designed entirely by the proprietors Tom and Ed Martin, the pub has been painstaking restored to its former glory, with a multitude of stunningly refurbished private dining rooms and snug areas to discover, it is the perfect destination to settle in with a bottle of fine wine and loose yourself in the company of your guest.

The riverside terrace with sweeping view of the River Thames and the O2 is the ideal spot for your pre-dinner glass of champagne or for a unique culinary experience dine in the adjacent, completely al fresco restaurant, A Grelha.
Inspired by Tom and Ed’s childhood holidays in Portugal, A Grelha serves a southern Portuguese menu, packed full of Algarvian classics such as seafood Cataplana, chorizo flames in Medronho (a Portuguese spirit) and the famous fiery piri piri chicken.
